3D Geomatic Services
Everyone's heard of the Taj Mahal.
We fulfilled the responsibility to Scan & Process it.
Who shares your trust!
Point Cloud Processing, simplified.
You already capture the scan. We're the modeling and processing capacity most US survey firms are short on, the team that turns a backlog of point clouds into registered surveys, Revit models, BIM and as-built drawings, without you hiring a bench of modelers you only need half the year. Built in 2010, working across 21 countries since. Every project is scoped in hours, billed on what we actually use, and capped at the number we quote you.

What we hand back to you.
Every deliverable below can be commissioned on its own or combined into a single engagement. Whichever you choose, the person who reviews the work is the person who produced it.
Quoted in hours. Billed on actuals. Capped at the quote.
Most shops quote per square foot and quietly pad the number against whatever they find in your data. We quote a scope of hours before you commit, and we do not invoice past it. One page on this site is dedicated to walking through exactly what drives that number and why, rather than us summarising it again here.
- Scope before commitment
- Hard cap, no change orders
- Revisions inside the cap
- 1–2 business days to quote
Named jobs, out of sixteen years and 21 countries.
A few we have permission to name. Dates we cannot verify are not invented. There is more on the work page, including galleries.

Waldorf Astoria Hotel
A heritage renovation, modeled to preserve the original geometry the construction team had to build around.

Google Campus Buildings
Multi-building campus, modeled at the detail level a facilities team actually uses day to day.

Dublin Castle & Record Tower
Conservation-grade drawings, accurate to the standard heritage authorities actually require.

QV1 Retail Plaza
A live retail plaza rebuilt into an editable model without shutting anything down to measure it.

Donnels Dam
Dam structure and terrain, drawn for the engineering record and meshed for surface analysis.

Hotel Lobby Renovation
A real baseline for the renovation team, not decades-old drawings and a guess.

The Taj Mahal
The mausoleum and its grounds, registered end to end. One of 21 countries this practice has worked in.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple
A historic temple in Varanasi, modeled down to mesh and hollow-model detail.

Sierra Leone Ship Loader
A mineral export terminal's conveyor structure, documented end to end for engineering review.

Open-Cast Mining Survey
A live mine site, surveyed by lidar to check volumes against what was actually there.

Unilever FMCG Facility
A manufacturing plant modeled and checked against its own drawings, to see what had actually changed on the ground.

Canal Mapping
Three stretches of canal, fifty-five kilometers combined, mapped for an engineering team that needed real contours, not estimates.
The lines that actually matter.
3DGS is headquartered in the United States and built as an international operation from the outset. The practice ran the first commercial laser scanning operation in India, in 2010, and the work since has reached 21 countries. That history is why the standard below holds on every project, not a pitch on top of it.
We own delivery end to end. Scoping, processing, QA and the handoff sit in one place. Hours-on-actuals with a cap: you see the scope before you commit, and you never pay more than the quote. We don't consider it done until your client signs off, and those revisions sit inside the cap. Every file that reaches your client came through us.
Hope you liked what you saw.
We have been on the scanning and processing side of this business a long time, and this site is still the highlight reel, not the whole story. Getting our full history properly onto these pages is something we are overdue on. We are working on it. Until then, if you have read this far, you already know who we are. If you still wonder, let's hit it off over coffee.
What clients have said.
Let us model a piece of it first.
We know what it is like to hand a project to a firm you found on the internet. So do not take our word for any of this. Send us one registered scan, or a small area of a bigger job, and tell us the LOD you need.
We will model it and send it back at no cost, usually inside three working days. You open it, you check the geometry against your own cloud, and then you decide whether we get the rest.
Questions we hear every week.
We already have surveyors on staff. Why would we need you?
We run full field scanning too, that is literally how this practice started. But if your team already owns the capture, we are not here to compete for that part of the job, we slot in as the modeling and processing bench behind it, the capacity you reach for when the backlog outgrows what your team can turn around without falling behind on the next job.
Will the work hold up against my client's QA?
That is the only thing we really measure ourselves on. A job is not finished here until your client has signed off on it, and the revisions to get there sit inside the cap rather than arriving as a change order. If the work does not hold up, we fix it at our cost.
What software do you work in?
Every day: AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation, 3DSmax, Geomagic and Blender. Cyclone and its equivalents for registration. If your downstream process needs something else, ask us. The answer is usually yes.
What is your turnaround?
It depends on LOD, area and scope, so we will not pretend there is one number. What we will do is give you a calendar when we quote, and show you progress against it at each milestone rather than going silent until delivery.
Do you process drone or photogrammetry data?
No. Lidar only, terrestrial or aerial. Photogrammetry is a genuinely different pipeline and we would rather turn the work down than learn on your project.
Where are you based?
The company is registered in Washington State and that is who you contract with, invoice and talk to. The processing team is in India, where this practice was built and where the survey side still operates. We are not cagey about it. It is also the honest answer to why the numbers work: you are not paying a US modeller's hourly rate for work this team has been doing since 2010.
What does a project cost?
It is quoted per project, driven by deliverables, LOD and area. Send us the scans and your spec and you will have a capped quote inside one to two business days. If you want to understand what actually moves that number before you send anything, the how we quote page walks through it, or ask us.
We have been burned by an offshore shop before. Why would this be different?
We hear this most weeks and it is a fair thing to ask. The short answer is do not take our word for it. Send us one scan and let us model a small area of it, at no cost, and judge us on the geometry instead of on a website.
Send us the scans. We will tell you what it takes.
Tell us what you have got and what your client is expecting. You get back a scope of hours, a cap and a calendar. If the scans have problems, we will tell you that too, before you have paid us anything.
