What survey firms ask us first.
We have been burned by offshore modeling before. Why is this different?
Fair question, and a common one. Our processing team works alongside a full-scope LiDAR survey operation, field acquisition through delivery, so the people modeling your scans understand what happened in the field. Registration issues, control problems and bad scans get flagged at intake, not after we have modeled against them. And we stay through your client's review: revisions until it is accepted, inside the quoted cap.
Who do we actually talk to?
Us. Fourth State is the US-facing side of the business and owns scoping, communication and QA before anything reaches you. You work with us, not directly with a remote modeling team.
What LOD should I ask for?
LOD 200 to 300 covers most renovation and facilities-documentation work, and LOD 400 is for MEP coordination and clash detection. If you are unsure which applies, tell us what the model will actually be used for and we will recommend the LOD ourselves rather than leave you guessing.
Do you handle MEP modeling?
Yes, at LOD 300 and above where the point cloud supports it. MEP density is one of the bigger drivers of hours on a project like this, and it is priced into the quote up front rather than discovered partway through.
